We returned today from our trip to Portland and the Oregon coast. We had a wonderful time. We saw a lot of family and enjoyed the sunshine. Courtney spent four days with the flu. In between laying down we went to the park, the zoo, REI, and the wading pool. Diana enjoyed it all. Every time she got in the stroller she kicked her legs with excitement.

Thanks Grandpa Steven for the cute top.
Diana and Cousin Diana
We spent the afternoon at Barbara's eating, playing, and focusing on Diana. Diana loved the food. She ate artichoke dip, humus, pita, and other goodies including chocolate cake. She ended up with chocolate in her ear.

Cousin Diana spent a lot of time following Diana up the stairs.

Diana is working on using a fork. By the end of the week she was able to pick up her food with a fork (well, sometimes).

Diana had a great time!
Reading with Aunt Adrienne.
Diana has been talking more. She repeats many words. She says cracker, shoe, toes, glasses, papa (which she started calling grandpa Richard), dad, wawa (water), and some others which I can't remember now. She is still walking holding our hands. She is more stable and has taken a few steps on a few different occasions. She seems very close to walking, but it feels like we've thought that for a while now. She'll do it when she's ready.
