Diana's First Video
As one would expect from a tech geek of a new father, I took some video footage at the hospital. Unfortunately, the web and the new high definition footage aren't playing well. I blame Al Gore. In any event, the movie still works, and I'll try to post a better version of it when internet cooperates. Thanks to the wonders of IMovie, here's the outcome:

Diana's First Outing
We ventured outside with Diana for the first time today. She had her first doctor's appointment, and it went very well. We're happy to say that she is a healthy young lady.

She weighed 6lbs, 4 oz, which will probably be the low weight of her life. Diana was on her best behavior at the doctor's office, and she hardly even cried. Needless to say we were very proud.

After the doctor's office, we went to Northgate Mall to run some errands. We weren't really sure how well she'd do, but we gave it a shot. We kept Diana in the car seat, and it worked out wonderfully. She was really happy the whole time, and hopefully this bodes well for future excursions.
We wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who's looked at the blog so far. Who knows how frequently we'll be able to update it, but for now it's a good way to get information out to many people.

Pictures of Diana and Family
Diana at the Hospital
Diana Harris-Campf was born on January 25th, 2008 at 4:33pm. She was 6 lbs, 11oz and 19.5 inches long. The labor was long, but all in all it went well. Our doctor was fantastic, which made the whole process much easier. Sean tried to text people with updates during the process, including the not very specific "we're at the hospital. updates soon." text that was misinterpreted by several people. Oops.
Courtney's family was already at the hospital in full force, and it's rumored that our doctor needed a police escort to restrain Grandma Lynda from entering before we were ready. After a little while, the family started pouring in to visit.

The Harris clan was not far behind. New aunts Becky and Marianne led the charge, followed by the rest of the family.
New grandparents saying "this may be a new model, but they haven't changed much in 30+ years"
Sean's friends Will and Glenn came by before the Sonics game, reminding everyone that Diana will have a lifetime of corrupting influences (confidential to Kate Kuper: Glenn takes the kids to fast food when you're not around). We had a relatively uneventful first night, and even got a few minutes of sleep. We had more visitors the next day, and left for home at around 5pm.
