Diana Turns 3 and more

We have been very busy! Birthday parties, finals, debate tournaments, Sean's pro-cert class, preparing for conferences, bachelorette parties, etc.

Diana is into cutting and gluing

She's got the cutting down

Diana painted a picture for her teacher's birthday book.
This is her first painting of a person.

Celebrating Dad's birthday with birthday donuts

Diana requested Red Mill and Cake for her birthday. It just happens that Dad loves those things. We celebrated their birthdays by having dinner and cake with Marianne, Pat, Rachelle, CJ, Papa Joe, and Grandma Sue.
More celebration to come at Diana's Ice Cream Party.

Johnny the Firefighter
Diana chose this gift for a friend's birthday and wanted one for herself. Aunt Rachelle found one for her. Thanks! She also got a lot of other great stuff: blocks, games, a tool kit, clothes, sheets for her new bed, etc. Thanks to everyone for all the presents!

Strawberry cake for our 3 year old

We went to Mariners Fan Fest
We did a lot of waiting in line.
Diana says she had fun. I'm sure next year when we know what to expect she'll have more fun. She got to go to the play area now that she's 3. She enjoyed herself until she had lots of big boys pushing her. Maybe she's not ready for the play area. She was sad that she didn't get to see Felix. I guess the 500 plus people in front of us in line wanted to see him too. Someday she'll get to meet him.

Diana's New Bed

Diana got a new bed for her birthday from Nani. She originally asked for a blue and red bed. We discussed this and came to a collective decision that she would like blue and red sheets. It is hard to find blue and red sheets that are not stars and stripes. We found some online that she likes and will be receiving for her birthday. In the meantime we found red flannel sheets on sale. The blue safety rail also helps with her blue and red request.

Diana told Nani, "It's a good bed."

Reading to her animals

Diana lined up her dolls and animals along her bedrail. She had the dolls hold her dog and then set a book up for the dolls to read to the dog.

Cheese!
