Thanksgiving 2011: Part 1

Thanksgiving was almost a month ago and I'm finally posting a few pictures. We spent a few days in Portland with family and friends.

Oh How They Change!

Lily turned 6th months on November 11th. She had a great check up and weighed in at 17 pounds 9 ounces. At 6 months Diana weighed 17 pounds 4 ounces. Lily has been busy trying new foods. She is finally getting the hang of it and seems to be enjoying the food. She has tried: rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, squash, and carrots.

Diana's clothes have been looking small so we decided to measure her. She has grown half an inch in one month. Our girls are getting so big.

Halloween

Diana and Lily had a nice Halloween.
We began by spending Friday night in Wedgewwod with Aunt Marianne. We braved the rain and went Trick or Treating at some of the businesses. On Sunday, we went to the zoo to watch animals eat pumpkins and kids eat candy. They had a nice trick or treat area with mostly healthy treats handed out. On Halloween, we went to the park with Ella to trick or treat. Sadly Lily was sleeping so she stayed at school. She did get to wear her duck costume around our neighborhood. Diana has now decided that her favorite part of Halloween is candy. This is a shift from the last few years.

Pumpkin Patch

When Nana was in town we took a trip to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful drive. Lily was not as easy as she usually is. The weather was beautiful!

Lily and Big Sis Diana

We have been very busy lately with work and the girls. Diana has been playing a lot of doctor, nurse, and vet. Our house has been turned into a hospital. She often plays the patient and Sean is the doctor. She got scrubs, a lab coat, and a stethoscope for halloween. She uses her stethoscope to listen to her animals' heartbeat. Lily has been growing. At her 4 month appointment she was 14 pounds 4 ounces and 25 inches long. She continues to eat a lot and is getting quite chunky. She is starting to get two teeth and drooling everywhere. She is having a great time at school and has bonded with her teachers. Diana still loves school and seems to enjoy her new class and classmates. She still gets upset when it's time to go home.

Kids Day at the Mariners Game

On August 28th we went to our last Mariners game as a family this year. It was kids day. This meant a special concert by Casper Babypants and Felix kids t-shirts.

Cousin Chloe was at the game too!

Alki Beach

Today we went to Alki to have lunch with Pat, Marianne, Colleen, Papa Joe, and Grandma Sue. We were celebrating Uncle Pat's birthday. It was a beautiful hot day. We had fish and chips and walked ( a LONG way) to the beach. Diana yelled at the pigeons to go away. She was trying to help me since I am not a fan of birds. What a nice daughter. I'm not sure how the other people eating felt about her yelling. We finally remembered to bring our big lens and got some nice pictures.
