Updates

We have been very busy lately. Sean and I are finishing up the school year. Diana is talking non-stop and very active. She expresses her opinions often. For example, "I don't like socks!" She also enjoys running around the house naked. She is becoming a music fan. Her favorite at the moment seems to be Casper Babypants (Chris Ballew of The Presidents of the United States of America). Aunt Marianne and soon to be Uncle Pat went to a show with us at SAM last weekend. Diana enjoyed dancing. She also asked for the Weepies one day. And at breakfast last weekend she began singing "July, July" by the Decembrists.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a nice Mother's Day weekend. Nana came Thursday night and spent the entire day Friday with Diana. They had a wonderful time shopping at Nordstrom, having lunch, and playing. Saturday we went to gymnastics. Diana finally had fun in the pit. She got in on her own and was very proud. She announced, "I did it! I did it!" Sunday we had a nice breakfast at home and went to the park. Sunday evening we went to see Grandma Sue.

Diana is learning to dress herself. One green M&M sock and one white and pink sock.
Diana is also pretty much potty trained. We still remind her to go, but accidents do not happen often.

Matthews Beach

It's a great day weather-wise, so We went to the beach with Nana and Rachelle. Diana had a great time playing in the water and sand.

Sorting

Diana was bringing me stackable cups. I put the cups together and she told me "don't put them together, daddy. Stop."

Just like grandpa Joe, I do what I'm told.

Diana playing wizard's chess

Diana went to gymnastics this morning. She had a lot of fun, as usual. She also wanted to play in the foam pit for the first time. Her favorite part of gymnastics is still the trampolene (the hand stamps at the end are a close second).

Diana and dad went to the Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park after gymnastics. Diana had fun moving the chess pieces around.

You can't see the whole board from the picture, but she organized all four knights in a row, and then did the same with the rooks.

And as you can see, it's LL Cool J impersonation day today.
